Two weeks ago, Croatian Institute of Public Health (HZJZ) and the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Croatia promoted ZdrAVKO, a WhatsApp AI assistant created to improve access to preventive healthcare information, education, and support.
My team and I had the privilege to build and deliver the solution.
I was hopeful. I did not expect what happened next.
In just 14 days • 6,703 people started a conversation with ZdrAVKO • 112,276 messages were exchanged between citizens and the assistant • That is an average of 16.8 messages per user
Why this matters to me These numbers are not vanity metrics. They are a signal.
To me, this clearly shows one thing. People genuinely want answers to preventive healthcare questions that matter to them personally. When you remove friction and meet people where they already are, curiosity turns into real engagement.
What makes it powerful is the simplicity It is a conversation, personalized to each person, adapting to the knowledge level of every individual user. No new app. No complicated onboarding. Just people asking what they need, when they need it, in a channel they already use every day.
A question for every brand and organization If you launched something genuinely useful on WhatsApp today, would your audience engage like this?
Would you see thousands of people start a conversation within days? Would you see users staying in the flow long enough to average nearly 17 messages each?
Because this is what attention looks like when people actually care.
What we learned in two weeks When the topic is personally relevant, and the experience is effortless, people do not just consume information. They interact. They ask. They go deeper. That is the difference between broadcasting and building a relationship.
If you are exploring how a WhatsApp AI assistant could work for your brand, customer support, or events, message me and I will gladly share what worked, what surprised us, and what we would do even better next time.
